2018 OUTER CRITICS CIRCLE

Siguiendo con los premios de teatro de Broadway días atrás se dieron a conocer los nominados a los Outer Critics Circle, que votan más de 90 escritores de periódicos, revistas, comentaristas de radio y televisión que cubren la información teatral de Broadway para prensa y cadenas de fuera de New York, sin distinguir entre las obras estrenadas en Broadway del off-Broadway.

Estos premios celebran su edición número 68 y han sido Jenn Colella y Katrina Lenk las encargadas de dar a conocer a los medios los nominados en las diferentes categorías. Hoy 7 de Mayo de 2018 se han hecho públicos los nombres de los ganadores de esta temporada 2017-2018, a los que se entregará el premio en una gala a celebrar en el restaurante Sardi’s el próximo 24 de Mayo de 2018.

Llama la atención que los que parten con mayor cantidad de nominaciones sean musicales como “Bob Esponja” (11 de las que ha ganado 4), y que acaparen más nominaciones reposiciones como “My Fair Lady” (9 de las que ha ganado 5), “Carousel” (6 de las que ha ganado 3) o “Once on this Island” (6 de los que no ha ganado ninguno) que otros estrenos presumiblemente fuertes de este año como “Frozen” (4 de los que no ha ganado ninguno) y en obras de texto ha ganado seis premios “Harry Potter and the cursed child”, seguida de la reposición de “Angels in América” que ha ganado tres.
