2017 Premios Olivier
Denise Gough y Matt Henry fueron los encargados de dar a conocer los nominados a los Premios Olivier, sin duda los más prestigiosos reconocimientos a la labor teatral en el Reino Unido y ayer domingo 9 de Abril de 2017 se desvelaron los nombres de los ganadores en cada categoría en la gala que se celebraró en el Royal Albert Hall y será transmitida por el canal ITV el próximo martes 11 de Abril.
Partía como favorita y se alzó como gran triunfadora “HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD“, consiguiendo batir el record de estatuillas que tenían hasta ahora “MATILDA” o “THE CURIOUS INCIDENT OF THE DOG IN THE NIGHT-TIME” que consiguieron siete premios cada una, pero la de Harry Potter se hizo con NUEVE de los ONCE a los que optaba, también ganadora en mayor número de nominaciones al superar el record de “HAIRSPRAY” que consiguió diez nominaciones en 2008.
En cuanto a musicales ha ganado el Olivier al Mejor Musical “GROUNDHOG DAY” y Andy Karl a mejor actor en dicha obra, Amber Ripley ganó el de mejor actriz por “Dreamgirls” y como mejor revival lo ganó la nueva producción de “JESUCRISTO SUPERSTAR” en el Open Air, que se estrenó el pasado verano y repetirá este año.
